Our annual rhyming issue is coming out in March.  Send us you best sports rhyme, along with name, age, school, and parental approval and there’s a good chance we’ll print it. Whether you favorite sport is basketball, baseball, swimming, tennis, or whatever, we’d like to hear from you.  The topic is anything dealing with sports – your favorite sport, your favorite coach, sportsmanship, sports heroes – anything you’d like to write about.

Greensboro Sportsplex to offer All Sports Teacher Workday Camps for ages 6-12
GREENSBORO, NC — (October 7, 2011) — This school year, the Greensboro Sportsplex will hold its first series of All Sports Teacher Workday Camps for boys and girls, ages 6 to 12 years. The camps will be held from 7:30 am until 4 pm on designated teacher workdays for the Guilford County Schools as follows:
  • Friday, October 28, 2011
  • Friday, November 11, 2011
  • Tuesday, January 3, 2012
  • Friday, January 20, 2012
  • Monday, March 26, 2012
Camp activities will include a variety of sports such as basketball, volleyball, soccer, ultimate Frisbee, flag football and inline roller hockey. Campers will also receive age-appropriate agility training. The cost is $25 per child per day, if registration is received at least two weeks prior to the start of each camp, or $35 per child per day, if registration is received less than two weeks in advance. Advanced registration is required.

Yes, you can now follow SportsKidsPlay newspaper on Facebook. We are currently fighting the learning curve, but hope to have Facebook mastered very soon. Facebook will allow our readers to become more interactive with SportsKidsPlay and keep us in tune with what’s going on with youth sports in Greensboro. Compass Elite Youth Triathlon Team
